The Power of Embracing Rejection
Here’s a great TED talk we’ve recently discovered from Jia Jang, who has a really powerful message told in a funny and engaging way.
He recounts a particular story from his school days that had a long lasting impact on him and how as an adult it encouraged him to face into rejection, however big or small.
He talks about how he embarked on a quest to achieve 100 days of rejection and tells some funny stories including how he asked a stranger to borrow $100 and requested a “burger refill” at a restaurant.
But the real power of his story is how his own reaction to these rejections changed each time and the unexpected opportunities and rewards he reaped as a result of embracing rejection instead of running away.
It’s a great video!
