One:One – Marsha Verlander

This week we wanted to share with you another one of our occasional one:one videos, where we interview business leaders to find out about their experiences and their thoughts on leadership.

 

This time we speak to Marsha Verlander, Director of Human Resources at CP Hart; the luxury bathroom retailers, as we were keen to look at leadership from a HR perspective.

 

Marsha originally joined CP Hart on a maternity contract, but has quickly become an integral part of the business and now leads a small HR team in supporting the business to deliver its people agenda. This includes all areas of development and Marsha has been instrumental in many of the recent change initiatives the business has undergone.

 

She kindly shares with us her thoughts on both the challenges and opportunities of having a mixed generational workforce and how HR can support the business to make the most of the different skill sets and approaches.  She also talks about her passion for feedback and how important it is for leaders at all levels not only to ask for it, but to act on it!
